Artemide Tolomeo Table - LED

HKD 5,400.00

Tolomeo is a table lamp designed by Michele de Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina for Artemide. Base and structure with mobile arms in polished aluminium; diffuser in anodized aluminium; joints and supports in polished aluminium.

Tolomeo by Artemide, a cult piece meant to make history. Designed in 1986, this table lamp is a reinterpretation of the spring lamps from the past with modern technology and contemporary lines. The result is an innovative and stylish object, made with just a few essential pieces. The Tolomeo table lamp features a polished aluminum disc base attached to the lamp body.

The spring balancing mechanism allows for endless configurations, with extreme ease of use: in fact, it is a perfect reading lamp when placed on a desk. This Artemide bestseller is available in a Halogen aluminum, white or black version, or in an LED aluminum version. In the span of thirty years, the Artemide Tolomeo lamp has earned great success worldwide: the secret that made it so famous is still a mystery.

Michele de Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina chose the name Tolomeo to recall the famous astronomer and mathematician to clarify the scientific aspect of this lamp. Tolomeo combines design and advanced engineering, becoming one of the most popular hi-tech lamps of all time. Not surprisingly, in 1989 it won the famous and prestigious Compasso d'Oro award.
