The Mezcal Glass (formerly the Agave glass) was the result of Denver & Liely's longest-running research, design and development project in country in the company's history. 2 years on the ground in Mexico aiming to understand the wild beast that is Agave. Each of our glasses are handmade by our skilled glassmakers, giving it a one-of-a-kind character. As part of the craft, slight size and weight variations, tiny bubbles, and minor imperfections are perfectly normal and add to its charm.

How does the glass work?
The glass has a very unique shape unlike any in the range. We don't have a signature style but rather create the best glass for the spirit. This Agave glass provides the best, most accurate, enhanced taste and smell profile for any type of Mezcal or Tequila. Basically the glass makes any agave spirit taste and smell the best it can be through a bit of scientific trickery.
The result is a cornucopia (always wanted to use that word) of mouth watering flavour, tuned aroma and taste experience achieved through shape manipulation, engineered airflow and distillation rectification. The end aim is for the glass to provide a smoother, more attractive experience to the novice and expert level drinker alike. Agave spirits now have glass that is finally worthy of the complexity and rich culture the liquid contains.
Manufacturing
To make the best glasses in the world, we use the best glassblowers in the world-who happen to be in China and the Czech Republic. They're able to hand-blow glasses to engineering level tolerances with lead-free crystal. No big machines. No mass factories. All our glasses are handblown by craftsmen and craftswomen with their very own breath. A robot just can't get it right, our glasses need that human spirit.
This means that there can be slight variances in our glasses, that's just what you get with handmade items. There's a little bit of humanity in every glass and that's the way we like it. We hope it makes you cherish your glass even more.
P.S. Small scale manufacturing also means that we often run out of stock. So if it's out of stock, you've gotta be a little quicker.
