About VIPP
Vipp is a Danish design company founded in 1939 by Holger Nielsen. It is known for its minimalist, functional design, particularly its iconic pedal bin, which was initially created for Nielsen's wife's hairdresser salon. The company has since expanded its product line to include a wide range of kitchen and bathroom furnishings, furniture, lighting, and textiles, all adhering to the same design principles. Vipp remains a family-owned business, now run by Nielsen's daughter, Jette Egelund, and her children, according to Design and Architecture.
